SCHOLARSHIPS

Each year the Jackson Chapter of the University of Alabama Alumni Association awards chapter scholarships to entering freshman from the central Mississippi area.  Eleven scholarships have been awarded since the scholarship was endowed by the Jackson Chapter in the year 2000.

To be considered for the scholarship, an application has to be submitted to the University of Alabama by December 1, the scholarship priority date.  When the applications have been processed by the University, copies are sent to the Jackson Chapter Scholarship Committee for their review.  The Scholarship Committee gives strong consideration to students who have not already been offered substantial scholarship assistance.

The scholarships are presented to deserving students at the Chapter's spring banquet.

2010 Scholarship Winner

Kristen Blair of Jackson is the 2010 winner of our chapter’s scholarship. She is a graduate of Jackson Academy and is planning to be a pre-med major. Congrats to Kristen and welcome to the Bama family!
